Color>Color to alpha and remove the background (an equivalend method is to bucket-fill the selection with the background color, after setting the bucket-fill tool in "Color erase" mode. Is it possible to transform a font with CSS to have rounded edges Im talking about an effect similar to this smooth edges in Photoshop.Wand-select the background with a reasonable threshold (around 15).This (in my experience) leads to smoother edges. Then on a new layer, reverse the process and fill the path with your colour/picture/whatever. A much better technique to get a clean edge is: A trick I generally use for large text is to alpha to selection and then save the selection as a path. Since you say "I made the background transparenr" I'm ready to bet that you just did a wand-selected+? That would explain why you get a jagged edge. You don't smooth a jagged edge, you avoid creating it in the first place.

Round fonts have letters with softer edges or borders. try making a Font SOP, (try Bezier type for font sop, its good to start w/Extrude SOP) thanks for any help. It seems that all the normal SOPs for making edges beveled, or smoothed, divided, or subdivided, just dont work the best with font SOPs, especially when they are extuded.
